Miss USA Crystle Stewart Represents at Miss Universe

by JP

For those of you that aren’t ardent pageant/beauty contest fans, you may have missed the broad-cast (get it…) of Miss Universe last night. It was won by some Venezuelan woman that we’ll never hear from again until next year’s competition where she’ll relinquish her crown and speak awkwardly about pursuing hopes and dreams. Hugo Chavez is probably very proud. Our own Crystle Stewart respresented America well, despite experiencing the worst nightmare of beauty queens and regular women alike: an awkward fall on national TV while weaing an evening gown.

While I’m sure it was quite a disappointment after all the preparation to win the contest, she displayed great class and composure in getting up and getting back to business right away. I’m as proud of Crystle as I’ve ever been of any Miss USA… which is saying a lot because I will always be a huge Shawn Weatherly fan. You can’t keep America down, baby!!!
