This Fall on the CW

I was almost convinced it was a monster (or alien. or prehistoric creature.) that washed up on the shore of a Montauk Beach.

But then the little neurons in my brain yawned and stretched and woke up. And I realized that the only major online information source to pick up on this story was gawker.com.

So that leads me to believe it’s anther one of these H.G. Wells-inspired promotional campaigns that have become increasingly relevant and effective in today’s cluttered media scene.

But where, you ask, does the CW or celebrity gossip tie in to this post?? (See photo after the jump)

Let me be the first to hypothesize that “the monster” is this fall’s hottest new protagonist on either a) the CW or b) a cable channel like Sci-Fi or Oxygen.

Although I’m gunning for the CW since the wealthy ocean front town of Montauk seems like such a natural next step after the UES and GG.
