Melrose Place back for sweet revenge?

The CW and CBS are “exploring” the possibility of a remake of the 90’s hit Melrose Place.

And by “exploring” I mean researchers are collecting a sample demographic of 18-34 year old women and throwing them into a condominium pool. If the sample demo climbs out of the pool and slaps the researchers across their smug faces, then the show is back on for the 2009-10 season! However, if the ladies splash their way to the shallow end, crawl out, and then proceed to set the complex on fire, network execs may hold off and just do a reunion show hosted by Ryan Seacrest next summer.
