The Downfall of PBS If The Republicans Cut Funding

The Republicans in Congress have announced a war on PBS. As part of their deficit reduction plan, they want to cut funding the the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which supports PBS and NPR broadcasting. Senator Jim DeMint has called PBS “The Muppet lobby” and said “Publicly funded media simply has no place in our modern, tech-savvy society.” He claims there are private market options for educational programming.
